The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Gala was last night and as usual, the red carpet was awash with beautiful people and gowns. 

My favourites of the night were: 

 Emma Stone in Lanvin: Simple, stylish and unbelievably cute. 

 Carey Mulligan in Prada: Wow.

 Nina Dobrev in Donna Karan Atelier: Beautiful.

Last nights Golden Globes did not disappoint in terms of beautiful dresses worn by beautiful people. Here are my best dressed of the evening: 

Jessica Alba is perfect in this lilac Gucci gown. I love the sparkly detail and effortlessness of it all. 

My favourite look of the evening goes to Emma Stone in Lanvin. This two-toned gown is simple and elegant with the eagle detail on the belt giving the dress an edgy twist. Understated yet unforgettable, it’s gorgeous. 

Shailene Woodley in Marchesa. Delicate and simple; I loved it.
